ROLL CALL 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak. 4. FUTURE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES TO FOCUS ON IN 2022 a. Art Walk The subcommittee discussed the event and what is needed for next steps. The subcommittee discussed getting permits, sponsorships, and looking at possible event coordinators that could help with facilitating this event. b. Grants Updates/Information The subcommittee discussed different grant opportunities and regranting. The subcommittee also discussed possibly finding a person who writes grants. c.Partnerships The subcommittee discussed possible collaborations that could take place at the Art Walk. d. Other Ideas The subcommittee discussed possible spaces, items, and what types of art making, acting, singing, and musical performances could take place at The Art Walk. 5. PROTOCOLS FOR FUTURE INCOME AND SPENDING a. Any Items for Spending The subcommittee discussed the protocols and who to speak with at Joliet City Hall if the Arts Commission needed to spend money or if money was coming in. 6. Planning for Future Funding Subcommittee Meetings The subcommittee discussed the possible dates of June 7th or June 9th as a next possible date to meet. b. Goals and Items that can be Worked on Before Next Meeting The subcommittee discussed having more information on the date, times, spaces, and getting the ground work laid for permits and other information for The Art Walk. 7.
