ROLL CALL APPROVAL OF MINUTES CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak. FUTURE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES TO FOCUS ON IN 2022 Art Walk The subcommittee discussed the different ideas, logistics, and flow of the Art Walk event. The event will be taking place on Saturday September 10th, 2022. The subcommittee discussed a time range, a maker space in the Chicago Street lot, filling out the event form and permit, interactive art making, sponsorship, and creating a budget. Partnerships During the discussion of the Art Walk the subcommittee did talk about partnerships with local businesses, restaurants, galleries, schools, and connecting with the City Center Partnership. Other Ideas The subcommittee discussed different ideas for artists to get involved in the Art Walk. SPENDING Art Walk Coordinator The subcommittee discussed the possibility of working with an event coordinator to help with the logistics of this event. Grant Writing The subcommittee discussed the possibility of working with a grant writer in the future. The subcommittee discussed the timeline and logistics of an NEA grant.
