ROLL CALL Present John Simpson Jr, Erick Deshaun Dorris and Eryn Blaser Absent Lonnie Posley 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Dorris, seconded by Simpson, Jr, that the August 15, 2022 meeting minutes be approved. The motion carried unanimously. TMP-4345 Attachments: 8.15.22 MINUTES Arts Commission Funding Subcommittee 3. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak. 4. FUTURE FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES TO FOCUS ON IN 2022 A. ART WALK The subcommittee discussed what has been accomplished since out last meeting, what questions have come up, and next steps that need to be taken care in regards of the Art Walk. The subcommittee discussed the importance of the whole Arts Commission support with reaching out for sponsorship and venues to have locations for the Art Walk. The subcommittee discussed the importance of communication to the get the information out to the community about the event. The subcommittee also discussed how many musicians and artists have confirmed that they are interested and would like to take part in the event. 5. REVIEW TIMELINE FOR FUTURE ITEMS A. PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE SUBCOMMITTEE MEETINGS The subcommittee discussed trying to have weekly meetings is possible. The subcommittee discussed having the next meeting Monday August 29th, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. B. GOALS AND ITEMS THAT CAN BE WORKED ON BEFORE NEXT MEETING The subcommittee discussed communicating with people at the city about next steps with Art Walk communication as well as spending of the grant.
