As of August 30, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced a statewide indoor mask mandate for all Illinois residents, regardless of vaccination status. In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL Present Chairperson Quinn Adamowski, Erick Deshaun Dorris, Megan Millen and Sue Regis APPROVAL OF MINUTES August 11, 2021 Vision & Bylaws Sbcm Meeting Minutes for TMP-2646 Approval Attachments: August 11 Meeting Minutes August 11 Meeting Minutes A motion was made by Millen, seconded by Chairperson Adamowski, that the August 11, 2021 Bylaws & Vision subcommittee minutes be approved. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. OLD BUSINESS Discussion: Procedures for non-voting members of subcommittees Chairman Dorris discusses the ordinance amendment concerning non-voting members. Discussion: Recommendations for Mayoral Appointment to Joliet Arts Commission Dorris recaps the appointments made to Commission and the need to reappoint the rest of the Commission. August 2021 JAC Appointments TMP-2648 Attachments: August 2021 JAC Appointments Discussion: Logistics and Timeline for election of officers for the Joliet Arts Commission Dorris proposes tabling this item until his conversation with the City Manager can take place. Review of Bylaws for potential additions or corrections Millen recaps potential amendments to the bylaws. The subcommittee agrees to wait on any amendments to see how the Council votes concerning the proposed ordinance amendment . Discussion: Next steps and priorities for $17,500 in new revenue The subcommittees agrees that other subcommittees have proposed projects or ideas that required funding in order to take place. The group agrees that the subcommittees should meet prior to the November full commission meeting to gather project ideas and be prepared to present ideas to the Commission for use of the funds awarded. i. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Chairperson Adamowski, seconded by Regis, that the October 20, 2021 meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously.
