150 West Jefferson Street City of Joliet Joliet, IL 60432 Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Meeting Minutes Commission Members Chairman Herb Lande Secretary Brad Price Quinn Adamowski Craig Purchase Rosa Hernandez Monday, November 15, 2021 5:00 PM Community Room, Joliet Police Department Special Meeting As of August 30, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced a statewide indoor mask mandate for all Illinois residents, regardless of vaccination status. In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL Present Herb Lande, Brad Price, Quinn Adamowski and Rosa Hernandez Absent Craig Purchase CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS - None NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION - None JOLIET FIRE DEPARTMENT PROMOTIONS Lieutenant Brad Myers to Captain Myers A motion was made by Brad Price, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to approve the promotion of Brad Myers to Captain. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Lande, Price, Adamowski and Hernandez Absent: Purchase Page 1 of 4 Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Meeting Minutes November 15, 2021 Firefighter Paramedic Daniel Wunderlich to Lieutenant Wunderlich A motion was made by Quinn Adamoski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to approve the promotion of Daniel Wunderlich to Lieutenant. A motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Lande, Price, Adamowski and Hernandez Absent: Purchase EXECUTIVE SESSION Herb Lande moved to enter closed session for the purpose of appointing Police Officers . Quinn Adamowski seconded. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Brad Price to appoint #27 Jacob Wiegele. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. #28 John Delgadillo withdrew 7/14/2021 on the phone to G. Dillon A motion was by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to appoint #29 Ali Aqel. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. A motion was by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to deny #30 Edgar Beltran. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to appoint #31 Nicholas Alvarado. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded Brad Price to deny # 32 Elisia Sanchez. The motion carried by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Brad Price to appoint #33 Jorge Trujillo. The motion carried by unanimous vote. #34 Shawn Clark withdrew 7/23/2021 per Lt. Egizio. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Brad Price, to appoint #35 James Williams. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to appoint #36 Andres Bravo. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to appoint #37 Ryan Richards. The motion carried by a unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to deny #38 Antonio Liotta. The motion carried by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to deny #40 Malek Rubi. The motion carried by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez to deny #41 Delfino Marcos. The motion carried by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez, to appoint # 42 Rudolfo Lopez . The motion carried by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez, to deny #43 Patrick Hopkins. The motion carried by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez, to appoint # 44 Michael Long. The motion carried by unanimous vote. A motion was made by Quinn Adamowski, seconded by Rosa Hernandez, to conditionally appoint #45 Brent La Ha. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
