CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL Present Quinn Adamowski, Brad Price, Janean Jackson, John Lukancic and John Stefanski CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS - None This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak. SECRETARY’S REPORT - None This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding non-agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Commission members do not generally respond to public comments. NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION - None CLOSED SESSION Stefanski voted to move into closed session, seconded by Lukancic. HIRING OF ONE FIREFIGHTER Stefanski voted to approve #42 Randy Lubash, seconded by Jackson, five unanimous votes yes Lukancic voted to approve #43 Brendan Reid, seconded by Stefanski, five unanimous votes yes DISCUSSION AND VOTE TO ADD LATERAL HIRING TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR JOLIET POLICE DEPARTMENT Joliet Police Command Staff presented new information on current hiring needs and again requested a vote of approval to add a Lateral Hiring List. Chairman Adamowski asks if the Board agrees to vote on Option 1 of the 2 Lateral List proposals that Todd Lenzie from Legal created at their request. All five Commissioners agree. Stefanski voted to approve Option 1 of the Lateral List, Lukancic seconded. Adamowski, Stefanski, Lukancic, and Jackson vote yes and Price votes no.
