ROLL CALL Present Quinn Adamowski, John Stefanski, Tomas Ponce, Natalie Coleman and Herb Lande APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Natalie Coleman, and seconded by John Stefanski, to approve the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners - Meeting Minutes for 9/16/2024. The motion was made by the following: Aye: Adamowski, Stefanski, Ponce, Coleman and Lande Board of Fire and Police Commissioners- 9.16.2024 Meeting TMP-7686 Minutes Attachments: BOFPC 9.16.2024 Meeting Minutes.pdf CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. SECRETARY’S REPORT Secretary Stefanski read into the Secretary's Report the following: Police Department: #98Yuri Garcia was removed from the hiring eligibility list on 9/19/2024 #88 Hugo Acosta was removed from the hiring eligibility list on 9/20/2024 #118 Quintin Phillips was removed from the hiring eligibility list due to age on 9/20/2024 #101 Brandon Oleksy was removed from the hiring eligibility list on 10/1/2024 #102 Natalie Crosby was removed from the hiring eligibility list on 10/3/2024 #71 Jonathan Iman was removed from the hiring eligibility list on 10/7/2024 #81 Karen Rodriguez was removed from the hiring eligibility list on 10/7/2024 NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION None. CLOSED SESSION Chairman Adamowski did not see a need for a Closed Session FIRE DEPARTMENT PROMOTIONS Captain Timothy Chaplin to Battalion Chief Chaplin Page 1 of 2 Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Meeting Minutes - Final October 17, 2024 Captain Timothy Chaplin to Battalion Chief Chaplin A motion was made by Tomas Ponce, and seconded by John Stefanski, to approve the promotion of Captain Timothy Chaplin to Battalion Chief. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Adamowski, Stefanski, Ponce, Coleman and Lande Lieutenant Edward Crombie to Captain Crombie A motion was made by Natalie Coleman, and seconded by Tomas Ponce, to approve the promotion of Lieutenant Edward Crombie to Captain. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Adamowski, Stefanski, Ponce, Coleman and Lande AOP Matthew McKee to Lieutenant McKee A motion was made by John Stefanski, and seconded by Herb Lande, to approve the promotion of AOP Matthew McKee to Lieutenant. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Adamowski, Stefanski, Ponce, Coleman and Lande PUBLIC COMMENT None.
