A brief discussion was held regarding the independent investigation of the Eric Lurry case by the State Police or a selected agency. Additional discussion was held regarding information received from the Attorney General Office and the preservation of city camera video footage . In response to Councilwoman Quillman requests, Councilwoman Gavin discussed her investigation and meeting with local pastors. Councilwoman Gavin discussed her reasoning for not signing the letter sent to the Attorney General. A brief discussion was held regarding private meetings held regarding the Eric Lurry case. Councilman Hug suggested the City receiving in writing from the Illinois State Police that their agency is not able to investigate the Eric Lurry case.
