Councilman Mudron read Proclamations issued by Mayor O'Dekirk honoring the
Joliet Catholic Academy Football Team - 4A State Champions and Joliet
Catholic Academy Wrestling Team - 2A State Champions.
Jake Jaworski, Head Football Coach, thanked the Mayor and Council for their
recognition and gave a brief overview of the team's season.
Ryan Cumbee, Head Wrestling Coach, expressed pride for the team, families,
school administration and the community and thanked the Mayor and Council for
their recognition.

CITY MANAGER:
The City Manager expressed thoughts and prayers for neighboring community police officers
involved in shooting incidences in Shorewood and Crest Hill.
In addition, the City Manager encouraged individuals to apply for available internships and
employment opportunities.

MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS:
Councilman Clement publicly thanked all the men and women in law enforcement for
protecting us.
Councilman Guerrero expressed his satisfaction with the progress for body cameras in light of
the most recent incidents.
Councilwoman Gavin thanked the members of law enforcement for their service and
protection.
Councilman Hug echoed the comments concerning the support for law enforcement and
thanked them for their service. He also congratulated Joliet Catholic on their football and
wrestling championships. He also congratulated Plainfield South wrestler Alexis Janiak for
winning the inaugural girls wrestling championship.
Councilman Mudron expressed his condolences to Jack Rogers' Family.
Councilwoman Quillman highlighted the Cass Street bridge going west will be down to one
lane and clarified the bridges are owned by the Illinois Department of Transportation .
Additionally, she wished everyone a happy St. Patrick's Day.
Councilwoman Reardon asked for prayers for Ukraine and the world.
CLOSED SESSION:
A motion was made by Councilman Guerrero, seconded by Councilman Clement, to enter into
closed session to discuss personnel, collective bargaining, land acquisition or conveyance,
pending or threatened litigation after which the meeting will be adjourned.

petitioner is completed, interested parties will be allowed to present evidence and/or cross examine the petitioner. As
this hearing is legislative in nature and not administrative, an interested party shall be defined as someone who either
owns property within 600 feet of the proposed development site, or a member or official representative of an affected
governmental body; the remainder of those who wish to be heard shall be classified as public speakers. Interested
parties will present second. Once the interested parties have completed, public speakers will be heard. These individuals
are public speakers, so the applicable public speaking rules shall be in effect: Speakers should try to address all
comments to the council as a whole and not to any individual member, repetitive comments are discouraged, total
comment time for any one person is 4 minutes, no speaker shall engage in a debate or make direct threats or personal
attacks or be uncivil or abusive, disruptive behavior by the members of the public will not be tolerated, and the presiding
officer may limit irrelevant, immaterial, or inappropriate comments or statements.
