MAYOR: APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Councilman Guerrero requested Council Memo #251-22: Award of Contract for the Black Road Lift Station Modifications Project to Williams Brothers Construction, Inc. in the amount of $2,090,000.00 and Council Memo #257-22: Amended Award of Contract for the Parkview Water Main Improvements Project to Brandt Excavating in the amount of $2,647,441.36 be removed from Consent Agenda and voted on separately. A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron, to approve the Agenda as written with the following change: Remove Council Memo # 251-22: Award of Contract for the Black Road Lift Station Modifications Project to Williams Brothers Construction, Inc. in the amount of $2,090,000.00 and Council Memo #257-22: Amended Award of Contract for the Parkview Water Main Improvements Project to Brandt Excavating in the amount of $2,647,441.36 from Consent Agenda and vote on them separately. Councilwoman Quillman discussed approaching the State to request ATVs require a license. In response to Councilwoman Reardon's question, the City Manager briefly discussed redistricting and growth in her district. Mayor O'Dekirk thanked the City Manager and staff for working to get the City newsletter back in publication. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Betsy Satcher discussed the Eastside Neighborhood Council sponsored clean-up day on June 11. Councilwoman Gavin highlighted a meeting to discuss allocation of the R3 marijuana tax money. Councilman Guerrero discussed a Press Release concerning an incident at Meadowview School. Councilman Hug congratulated those who recently graduated. Councilman Morris discussed the possibility of an additional of a Councilperson. The City Manager addressed the option of additional members. Councilwoman Quillman highlighted Police Week. Mayor O'Dekirk highlighted a ribbon cutting Unidos Marketing on Ottawa Street, ribbon cutting for Koenig Group at 48 N. Chicago, visit from Congressman Foster concerning $3.5 million of federal funding for sewer main replacement and thanked him for his work on this project, visit from Gov. Pritzker and United States Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg for the ribbon cutting at the Joliet Transportation Center Pace Bus terminal and discussed artwork by local artist along the wall by the terminal.
