CITY MANAGER:
The City Manager briefly discussed budget adjustments for sidewalk repairs and
beautification of the City with weed removal and clean-up.
A brief discussion was held regarding committing additional funding to increase sidewalk
repairs and additional investment in City infrastructure improvements.
NEW BUSINESS (Not for Final Action or Recommendation):
In response to Councilman Hug's question, Greg Ruddy, Public Works Director, explained the
tree trimming bids were significantly over the City's estimate.
A brief discussion was held regarding the City's senior citizen snow removal program.
Mayor O'Dekirk requested a sign be erected at the City's gateways to honor the American
Legion Band championship. He also requested Fire Chief Carey give an update on the
Thriveworks program at the next Council Meeting.

MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS:
Councilman Clement wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
Councilwoman Gavin wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and thanked Mr. Ghedotte for
all his hard work and congratulated Mr. Sing on his appointment.
Councilman Hug congratulated all the varies High School sports teams on their

accomplishments this season. He also wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
Councilman Mudron highlighted the Joliet Catholic volleyball team on their placement at the
State Tournament.
Councilwoman Quillman highlighted the I Remember Joliet's Christmas Past event at the
Joliet Area Museum and also gave an update on Brother Ed Arambasich Chaplain for the
Joliet Fire Department. She wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
Councilwoman Reardon thanked Jayne Bernhard, City Planner, for all her work with Project
Acclaim and congratulated Ed and Gloria Dollinger and Michael Turk on their induction into
the organization's 2022 Hall of Pride. She also highlighted the Habitat ReStore Tinsel and
'Tinis event.
Mayor O'Dekirk highlighted the Habitat for Humanities Veteran's Build on Black Road, The
Pointe on Essington Road ribbon cutting, Veteran's Day celebrations by Joliet Central High
School, American Legion Post 1080, and Tezak's Funeral Home; 70th Anniversary of St.
Paul's MB Church, Riverwalk Community Pantry, Eisenhower School Blue Ribbon Award,
Joliet Junior College Presidential Investiture of Dr. Clyne G.H. Namuo. He also wished all the
veteran's a Happy Veteran's Day and everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

All evidence and testimony will be presented under oath. The petitioner will be allowed to present first. After the
petitioner is completed, interested parties will be allowed to present evidence and/or cross examine the petitioner. As
this hearing is legislative in nature and not administrative, an interested party shall be defined as someone who either
owns property within 600 feet of the proposed development site, or a member or official representative of an affected
governmental body; the remainder of those who wish to be heard shall be classified as public speakers. Interested
parties will present second. Once the interested parties have completed, public speakers will be heard. These individuals
are public speakers, so the applicable public speaking rules shall be in effect: Speakers should try to address all
comments to the council as a whole and not to any individual member, repetitive comments are discouraged, total
comment time for any one person is 4 minutes, no speaker shall engage in a debate or make direct threats or personal
attacks or be uncivil or abusive, disruptive behavior by the members of the public will not be tolerated, and the presiding
officer may limit irrelevant, immaterial, or inappropriate comments or statements.
