A brief discussion was held regarding the lack of development progress at the new Basinger Page 8 of 9 City Council Meeting Meeting Minutes - Final April 3, 2023 Pharmacy location on Jefferson Street. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Mary Beth Gannon spoke regarding the City Council's positive accomplishments over the past eight years. Jerry Hervey spoke regarding the upcoming election. MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS: Councilwoman Gavin thanked everyone for their support over the past 9 years she has served as Councilwoman. Councilman Guerrero encouraged everyone to vote. Councilman Hug wished all a Happy Easter and encouraged everyone to vote. Councilman Morris wished all a Happy Easter and encouraged everyone to vote. Councilwoman Quillman wished all a Happy Easter, a Blessed Passover, and encouraged all those running in this election. Councilwoman Reardon wished all a Happy Easter and her daughter a happy birthday and encouraged everyone to vote. Mayor O'Dekirk briefly noted I-80 construction will be continuing this year. He thanked all the first responders for their work with the storm last week. He highlighted a private grand opening held for Olive Garden with a public grand opening to come April 10th and wished everyone a Happy Easter. The petitioner will be allowed to present first. After the petitioner is completed, interested parties will be allowed to present evidence and/or cross examine the petitioner.
