Proclamation - Nurses Ascension Saint Joseph - Joliet Attachments: Approver Report Councilwoman Quillman read a Proclamation issued by Mayor D'Arcy recognizing and thanking the St. Joseph nurses. Pat Meade with the St. Joseph's Nurse Association accepted and thanked the Mayor and Council for their support and recognition. A few nurses spoke regarding the need for safe patient care at St. Joseph. A brief discussion was held concerning this meeting. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Trista Brown complemented city staff and also spoke regarding gun violence, need for police presence and homelessness. Doug Kasper spoke regarding a proclamation for the non-violent city project. Mayor D'Arcy spoke regarding the creation of a community taskforce. Kathy Garthus spoke regarding the development around her property. MAYOR AND COUNCIL COMMENTS: Mayor wished everyone a great summer. Councilwoman Ibarra invited everyone out to Nowell Park to discuss blasting at 620 Sandall Place. Councilwoman Quillman recognized John Lukancic for a book he wrote.
