Economic Development (CED), provided an investor presentation highlighting
the partnership between the City of Joliet and CED and reviewed the
organization's history, mission, staff, investor benefits, the Will County Summer

CITY MANAGER:
The City Manager spoke about the May 20 Memorial Day commemoration held at City Square
and thanked Cultural Affairs and Special Events Director Ann Sylvester and her team for
coordinating the event.
The City Manager noted that Officers Joshua Battung and Jamere Price were recognized at
the Joliet Township High School District 204 Athletic Boosters Night of Champions for their
work in the School Resource Officer Program and extended congratulations.
The City Manager announced that the City would host two public presentations led by Urban 3
on the relationship between community growth, development patterns, and municipal
finances, sharing findings from the recent Urban3 economic analysis, with one presentation at

Councilman Hug congratulated Councilman Moreno on his marriage.
Councilwoman Ibarra asked for an update on the staffing study, spoke about traffic concerns,
and wished everyone a Happy Pride Month.
Councilman Moreno thanked the Council for the marriage congratulations.
Councilwoman Quillman wished her great-nephew a happy birthday, wished her husband a
happy 46th anniversary, and congratulated Councilman Moreno on his wedding.
Mayor D'Arcy congratulated Councilman Moreno on his marriage, reported on recent

City Square dedication on June 18, and the City Square opening celebration weekend on
June 26 and 27.
