Turk Pat Mudron Sherri Reardon Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final September 15, 2020 Page 1 of 1 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final September 15, 2020 The Governor’s Office and the Illinois Department of Public Health activated the mitigation plan for Region 7, effective August 26, 2020. Region 7 includes Will and Kankakee counties. The new Region 7 mitigation plan limits in-person meetings to 25 people or 25% of overall room capacity (whichever is less). Council Chambers allows for 13 members of the public while adhering to social distancing guidelines. During meetings, any member of the public physically present in the Council Chambers in excess of the limit will be asked to wait in another room with live feed to the meeting until the Citizens To Be Heard on Agenda Items section or Public Comments section of the meeting has commenced. Speakers will be rotated into Council Chambers to allow everyone an opportunity to speak. Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any individual appearing in-person wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. Motion seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron. Page 1 of 3 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final September 15, 2020 AUTHORIZATION TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED RENEWAL OF WORKERS' COMPENSATION BROKER Director of Human Resources Kathy Fransen reviewed the Authorization to Approve the Proposed Renewal of Workers' Compensation Broker. Brief discussion held. Motion to recommend to full Council the Proposed Renewal of Workers’ Compensation Broker was made by Councilman Pat Mudron. Motion seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon. Meyer reviewed the 2019 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Brief discussion held. Motion to recommend to full Council the 2019 CAFR was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon. Motion to approve the Invoices Paid Report was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon. Motion seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Turk, Mudron and Reardon TMP-0414 Attachments: 2020-08 Invoices Paid NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION Rialto Square Theater Chairman of the Board Robert Filotto and Executive Director Valerie Devine presented a brief financial update to the Committee Members requesting that the City cover auditing costs. Discussion held. Motion to continue matter to the October 20th Finance Committee Meeting was made by Councilman Pat Mudron. Motion seconded by Sherri Reardon. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Turk, Mudron and Reardon PUBLIC COMMENT None. NOTE: There is a new temporary procedure for public speaking.
