Turk Pat Mudron Sherri Reardon Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final October 20, 2020 Page 1 of 1 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final October 20, 2020 Pursuant to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan, the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity's Guidelines recommend best practices that limit an in-person meeting to 50 people or less (Council Chambers allows for 18 members of the public)while adhering to social distancing guidelines.During meetings, any member of the public physically present in the Council Chambers in excess of the limit will be asked to wait in another room with live feed to the meeting until the Citizens To Be Heard on Agenda Items section or Public Comments section of the meeting. Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any individual appearing in-person wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL ALSO PRESENT: Director of Finance James Ghedotte, Director of Human Resources Kathy Franson, Director of Public Utilities Allison Swisher, Stantec Project Manager Joe Johnson, Rialto Square Theatre Chairman of the board Bob Filotto and Rialto Square Theatre Executive Director Valerie Devine. Turk, Councilman Pat Mudron and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion to approve the minutes of the September 15, 2020 Finance Committee Meeting was made by Sherri Reardon, seconded by Pat Mudron. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Turk, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon Attachments: September2020_Draft_Minutes CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. Page 1 of 3 Finance Committee Meeting Minutes - Final October 20, 2020 RIALTO SQUARE THEATRE FINANCIAL UPDATE Rialto Square Theatre Chairman of the Board Robert Filotto and Executive Director Valerie Devine gave a financial update. Discussion held. A motion to recommend that Mr. Filotto and Ms. Devine present the Rialto Square Theatre financial update to full Council was made by Pat Mudron, seconded by Sherri Reardon. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Turk, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon ALTERNATIVE WATER SOURCE PROGRAM FUNDING STRATEGY UPDATE Director of Public Utilities Allison Swisher introduced Stantec Project Manager Joe Johnson. Mr. Johnson gave a presentation on funding strategies and funding options . Discussion held. Attachments: Travel 09-2020 council INVOICES PAID REPORT Mr. Ghedotte briefly reviewed the Invoices Paid Report. Brief discussion held.
