ROLL CALL Present Councilman Cesar Cardenas, Councilman Pat Mudron and Councilman Cesar Guerrero ALSO PRESENT: Interim Corporation Counsel Chris Regis, Community Development Interim Director Dustin Anderson, Planning Director James Torri, and Planner Ray Heitner APPROVAL OF MINUTES Land Use & Legislative Committee Minutes-4/11/24 TMP-7265 Attachments: 041124 A brief discussion was held concerning meeting minute approval. Interim Corporation Counsel Chris Regis explained that the current Committee can approve the minutes. A motion was made by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron, to approve the Land Use & Legislative Committee Minutes-4/11/24. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Cardenas, Councilman Mudron and Councilman Guerrero CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS AGENDA ITEMS Honorary Street Name Request for N. Ottawa Street TMP-7266 (Between Webster Street and Cass Street) to Earl D'Amico Way Attachments: D'Amico Honorary Street Name LULC Packet Planning Director James Torri read the Honorary Street Name staff report into record. Mr. Tom Grotovsky spoke in favor of the Honorary Street Name petition. The Land Use and Economic Development Committee briefly discussed this item. A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, to approve Honorary Street Name Request for N. Ottawa Street (Between Webster Street and Cass Street) to Earl D'Amico Way. The motion carried by the following vote: Page 1 of 2 Land Use & Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes - Final May 9, 2024 Aye: Councilman Cardenas, Councilman Mudron and Councilman Guerrero NEW OR OLD BUSINESS - NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION There was a lengthy discussion held regarding the types of items that will be brought to the restructured Land Use and Economic Development Committee and future meeting dates . PUBLIC COMMENT ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, to adjourn.
