ROLL CALL Present Councilman Cesar Cardenas and Councilman Pat Mudron Absent Councilman Cesar Guerrero ALSO PRESENT: Community Development Director Dustin Anderson, Planning Director James Torri, and Economic Development Director Paulina Martínez APPROVAL OF MINUTES Land Use & Economic Development Committee Meeting TMP-7749 Minutes - 8-29-24 Attachments: Land Use & Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes 08-29-24.pdf A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to approve Land Use & Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes - 8-29-24. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Cardenas and Councilman Mudron Absent: Councilman Guerrero CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS Applicant Synathia Harris gave a brief overview of Louise F. Nichols and spoke in favor of the petition. AGENDA ITEMS Honorary Street Name Request for 4th Avenue (Between TMP-7747 Union Street and Mississippi Avenue) to Louise F. Nichols Drive Attachments: Honorary Street Name Packet - Louise Nichols (4th Ave) Planning Director James Torri read the staff report into the record. In response to Councilman Mudron’s question, Mr. Torri briefly discussed honorary street name application requirements and honorary designation signs. Councilman Cardenas highlighted the neighbors’ signatures and the support of District 86 Superintendent. A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Cardenas, to approve Honorary Street Name Request for 4th Avenue (Between Union Street and Mississippi Avenue) to Louise F. Nichols Drive.
