ROLL CALL Present Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon Absent Councilman Cesar Guerrero APPROVAL OF MINUTES TMP-6924 Attachments: 120523 A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to approve the Land Use & Legislative Committee Minutes from 12/5/23. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Reardon Absent: Councilman Guerrero CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. Ms. Kendra Coleman, 345 S. Joliet Street, appeared before the Committee requesting approval of the Honorary Street Name Request for Louise Coleman. Ms. Coleman gave further background information about her mother Louise. AGENDA ITEMS TMP-6910 Attachments: Land Use packet Joliet St Coleman A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to approve the HONORARY STREET NAME REQUEST FOR S. JOLIET STREET (BETWEEN MCDONOUGH STREET AND MUNROE STREET) TO LOUISE COLEMAN DRIVE. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Reardon Absent: Councilman Guerrero TMP-6911 Attachments: 2-447repealattachment bidding Mr. Chris Regis, Interim Corporation Counsel, gave background information about the proposed bidding ordinance. Councilwoman Quillman inquired about the qualifications for the Purchasing Administrator. Mr. Regis was not certain. A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to recommend for approval by the City Council to Repeal 2-447 in Section E of the Bid Process. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Reardon Absent: Councilman Guerrero TMP-6913 Attachments: 2-447repeal This was approved with the previous agenda item: Bidding. A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to recommend for approval by the City Council an ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE XIII, DIVISION 2, SECTION 2-447(e), PREQUALIFICATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JOLIET CODE OF ORDINANCES (REPEALING SUBSECTION REGARDING LOCAL PREQUALIFICATION). The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Hallums Quillman and Councilwoman Reardon Absent: Councilman Guerrero TMP-6914 Attachments: lengthchistreet Mr. Regis gave background information about the proposed ordinance. A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, to recommend for approval by the City Council the ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19, ARTICLE I, DIVISION 2, SECTION 19-19, LENGTH RESTRICTIONS ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JOLIET CODE OF ORDINANCES (AMENDING ORDINANCE 19-19 TO ENUMERATE LENGTH RESTRICTION ON CHICAGO STREET BETWEEN WASHINGTON AND OHIO STREETS).
