As of August 30, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced a statewide indoor mask mandate for all Illinois residents, regardless of
vaccination status.
In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their
nose and mouth.
Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

Jordan Kielian, attorney representing the owner, spoke in opposition of the Denial of the
Issuance of a Class "BG" Liquor License at 609 Ruby Street- Joliet Citgo. (Council Memo
#464-21)
Michael O. Graham, owner, spoke in opposition of the Denial of the Issuance of a Class "BG"
Liquor License at 4802 Caton Farm Road - Graham C. Stores Co. (Council Memo 463-21)
Kathy Garthus spoke regarding concerns on Council Memo 469-21: Ordinances Associated
with Vetter Road Annexations.
Councilwoman Gavin spoke regarding a proposed alley closure and the proper procedure for
this. The City Manager briefly discussed procedures for alley closures and stated this item will
be brought back to Land Use and Legislative Committee for discussion.
A brief discussion was held regarding alley closures.

Councilman Hug concurred with the Mayor and requested the Council support

within his district.

In response to Councilman Hug's questions, Jim Ghedotte, Director of Finance,
explained the adoption process of the All-Hazards Mitigation Plan and Greg
Blaskey, Fire Chief, who was a member of the Mitigation Plan panel, further
explained the Mitigation Plan process and the city's portion of the grant to cover
the funding for the retaining wall for the designated flood plain.
