As of August 30, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced a statewide indoor mask mandate for all Illinois residents, regardless of
vaccination status.
In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their
nose and mouth.
Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

CITY MANAGER:
A brief discussion was held concerning Council Memo #512-21: Ordinance Authorizing Two
Amendments to the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
regarding the eligibility of a firefighter 36 and over to transfer from another community. The
Chit Manager state he would seek clarification.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None.
CLOSED SESSION to discuss the following subjects:
Councilman Mudron requested closed session to allow Dawn Malec the opportunity to give
her statement to the City Council.
The City Clerk stated legal also informed her of a need to discuss other closed session items .
A motion was made by Councilwoman Hallums Quillman, seconded by Councilman Mudron,
to enter into closed session to discuss personnel, collective bargaining, land acquisition or
conveyance, pending or threatened litigation after which the meeting will be adjourned .
The motion carried by the following vote:
