As of August 30, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced a statewide indoor mask mandate for all Illinois residents, regardless of
vaccination status.
In compliance with Governor Pritzker’s mandate, any individual appearing in person must wear a face-covering to cover their
nose and mouth.
Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Councilman Clement, seconded by Councilman Hug, to approve the
minutes of the November 2, 2021 Public Safety Committee Meeting. The motion carried by
the following vote:

Councilman Clement briefly spoke about electric ambulances. He would like to
find out how much it would cost to outfit an electric ambulance and the
possibility of testing an electric ambulance in the future.
Fire Chief Blaskey discussed hybrid apparatus.
Fleet manager Jeff Price discussed the purchase of ambulances.
A motion was made by Councilman Clement, seconded by Councilman Hug, to
recommend for approval to the full Council Purchases Item No's ID-66-22,
ID-41-22, ID-42-22 and ID-39-22. The motion carried by the following vote:

of Justice Assistance FY 2021 Connect and Protect Grant.
A motion was made by Councilman Hug, seconded by Councilman Clement, to
recommend for approval to the full Council Request to Approve Resolution to
Accept and Implement a Bureau of Justice Assistance DY 2021 Connect and
Protect Grant. The motion carried by the following vote:
