Councilman Joe Clement, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO
#TMP-6694: Purchase of Eight (8) Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
Packs for the Joliet Fire Department from Municipal Emergency Services (MES)
in the amount of $52,720.00.
The motion carried by the following vote:

Department from Stryker Medical in the amount of $35,577.54.

amount of $46,831.00.

FR1 Scanner and Associated Hardware for the Joliet Police Department
Investigations Division.

Jeff Price briefly explains Ordinance Amending the 2023 Budget for the Two
New Fire Engine Purchases
Councilwoman Quillman, and Councilwoman Reardon ask questions about price
difference.
Jeff Price explains difference.
Councilman Clement questions why if original contract was signed would there
would be any price increases.
Jeff Price explains price difference from original contract is because of changes
they made not because they increased original contract.
A motion was made by Councilman Joe Clement, seconded by Councilwoman
Sherri Reardon, to recommend for approval COUNCIL MEMO #TMP-6707:

The motion carried by the following vote:

Councilman Clement asks Chief Carey to talk about lives saved with AED's. Chief Carey tells

2 stories of how citizens grab AED's and helped save lives before the ambulance got there .
Council comments on AED's.
Chief Carey talks about training and getting more AED's all over the city to save more lives.
