Hug Bettye Gavin Terry Morris Public Service Committee Meeting Minutes - Final May 3, 2021 Page 1 of 1 Public Service Committee Meeting Minutes - Final May 3, 2021 Pursuant to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan, the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity's Guidelines recommend best practices that limit an in-person meeting to 50 people or less (Council Chambers allows for 18 members of the public) while adhering to social distancing guidelines. During meetings, any member of the public physically present in the Council Chambers in excess of the limit will be asked to wait in another room with live feed to the meeting until the Citizens To Be Heard on Agenda Items section or Public Comments section of the meeting has commenced. Speakers will be rotated into Council Chambers to allow everyone an opportunity to speak. Pursuant to the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Guidelines, it is recommended that any individual appearing in-person wear a face-covering to cover their nose and mouth. Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting can email comments in advance of the meeting to publiccomment@joliet.gov. ROLL CALL Present Larry E. Award of Contract for the Water Treatment Plant ID-363-20 Residuals Disposal Project 2021 to Envirite of Illinois, Inc. in the amount of $215,000.00 Allison Swisher discussed the Water Treatment Plant Residuals Disposal Project, in the amount of $$215,000.00, on behalf of Envirite of Illinois, Inc. Award of Contract for the Purchase of Golf Carts for the ID-365-20 Utilities Division to Harris Golf Cars in the amount of $33,697.00 Allison Swisher discussed the purchase of golf carts, in the amount of $33,697.00, to Harris Golf Cars. e. Award of Contract for the Lift Station Pump Replacement - ID-366-20 2021 to Xylem Water Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $47,801.60 Allison Swisher discussed the Left Station Pump Replacement, in the amount of $47,801.60, on behalf of Xylem Water Solutions, Inc. f. Award of Contract for the 2021 Sewer Cleaning and ID-367-20 Inspection Program to National Power Rodding in the amount of $492,921.50 Attachments: 2021 SEWER CLEANING MAP.docx Amy Ferris, Deputy Director of Engineering, discussed the 2021 Sewer Cleaning Program, in the amount of $429,921.50, on behalf of National Power Rodding. g. Award of Contract for the 2021 Pavement Marking ID-368-20 Program - MFT Section No. 21-00539-00-ST to Superior Road Striping, Inc. in the amount of $191,282.00 Greg Ruddy, Director of Public Works, discussed the 2021 Pavement Marking Program, in the amount of $191,280.00, to Superior Road Striping, Inc. h. Purchase of Automated Brine Maker for the Roadways ID-369-20 Department from Cargill, Inc. in the amount of $71,237.00 Greg Ruddy discussed the purchase of the Automated Brine Maker for the Roadways Division, in the amount of $71,237.00, from Cargill, Inc. This is used for snow operations. A motion was made by Councilwoman Gavin, seconded by Councilman Morris, to recommend for approval by the full Council Contract Item No's ID-362-20, ID-363-20, ID-364-20, ID-365-20, ID-366-20, ID-367-20, ID-368-02 and ID-369-20. Change Order No. 1 and Final Payout for the Emergency ID-370-20 East Duncan Throttle Pipe Replacement to Construction by Camco Inc. in the amount of $6,824.33 Allison Swisher discussed Change Order No. 1 and final payment, in the amount of $6,824.33, on behalf of Construction by Camco, Inc. A motion was made by Councilwoman Gavin, seconded by Councilman Morris, to recommend for approval by the full Council Contract Item No. ID-370-20. Ordinance Accepting a Temporary Construction Easement ID-371-20 at 1871 Houbolt Road for the Houbolt Road (I-80 - US Route 6) Interchange Modification and Roadway Reconstruction Project - MFT Sect. No. 16-00503-00-PV Attachments: Ordinance 1871 Hollywood temp easement ecolab signed temp easement 6800 Parcel 0009 Ecolab parcel-0009 ecolab legal description Greg Ruddy discussed the reconstruction of this interchange at Houbolt Road (I-80-US Route 6). This is a temporary easement for driveway grading. b. Resolution Appropriating Funds for the 2021 Pavement ID-372-20 Marking Program - MFT Sect.
