Councilwoman Gavin is attending remotely.

ALSO PRESENT: Allison Swisher, Director of Public Utilities, Greg Ruddy - Director of Public
Works, Tony Anczer - Deputy Director - Engineering, Joe Nordman - Roadways Engineer,
and Katie Smith - Economic Development and Community Manager.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Councilman Terry Morris, seconded by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin,
to approve the Minutes of the May 2, 2022 Public Service Meeting.
The motion carried by the following vote:

Blended Phosphate Purchase to Hawkins Water Treatment
Group in the amount of $74,700.00
Allison Swisher, Director of Public Utilities, discussed the 2022 Drinking Water
Sodium Blended Phosphate Purchase, in the amount of $74,700.00, to Hawkins
Water Treatment Group.
Award of Contract for the Purchase of Gas Detection TMP-3737
Equipment at the Eastside Wastewater Treatment Plant to
LAI-LTD in the amount of $69,635.00
Allison Swisher discussed the purchase of Gas Detection Equipment at the
ESTP, in the amount of $69,635.00, to LAI-LTD. Councilman Hug advised
asking the Clerk if this item can be voted on tomorrow at the Council Meeting.
Award of Contract for the Black Road Lift Station TMP-3738
Modifications Project to Williams Brothers Construction, Inc.
in the amount of $2,090,000.00
Allison Swisher discussed the Contract for the Black Road Lift Station
Modifications Project, in the amount of $2,090,000.00, to Williams Brothers
Construction Inc. This will be on the Council agenda for May 17, 2022. Also

included is a Construction Engineering Services Agreement, in the amount of
$231,135.00, on behalf of Donohue & Associates Inc.
Amended Award of Contract for the Parkview Water Main TMP-3739
Improvements Project to Brandt Excavating in the amount of
$2,647,441.36
Tony Anczer, Deputy Director - Engineering, discussed the correct award
amount for the Parkview Water Main Improvements Project, in the amount of
$2,647,441.36, to Brandt Excavating. This will also be on the May 17, 2022
Council Meeting.
Award of Contract for the 2022 Sidewalk / Curb Replacement TMP-3740
Project - Central Joliet Area to P.T. Ferro Construction Co. in
the amount of $295,685.00
Greg Ruddy, Director of Public Works, discussed the 2022 Sidewalk / Curb
Replacement Project - Central Area, in the amount of $295,685.00, on behalf of
P.T. Ferro Construction Co. The limits of this project are between I-55 and IL
Route 7.
Purchase of three (3) Pavement Recycler and Hot Box TMP-3741
Trailers from Midwest Paving Equipment in the amount of
$132,054.00
Joe Nordman, Roadways Engineer, discussed the purchase of three (3)
Pavement Recycler and Hot Box Trailers, in the amount of $132,054.00, from
Midwest Paving Equipment.
Award of Contract for the City-Wide Newsletter for 2022-2023 TMP-3747
to One Step Print in the amount of $163,123.77
Katie Smith, Community and Economic Development Manager, discussed the
2022-2023 City-Wide Newsletter, in the amount of $163,123.77, from One Step
Print.
Award of Contract for the Lawrence Avenue Lift Station TMP-3778
Rehabilitation Project to J S Alberico Const Co Inc in the
amount of $748,000.00
Tony Anczer discussed the Contract for the Lawrence Avenue Lift Station
Rehabilitation Project, in the amount of $748,000.00, to J S Alberico Const Co
Inc. Also included is a Construction Engineering Service Agreement, in the
amount of $65,900.00, on behalf of Trotter and Associates Inc.
A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman
Terry Morris, to recommend for approval Contract Item No's TMP-3736,
TMP-3737, TMP-3738, TMP-3739, TMP-3740, TMP-3741, TMP-3747 and
TMP-3778,.

Allison Swisher discussed the Lower DesPlaines Watershed Group
Membership, in the amount of $89,642.12, for the 2022 Membership.
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of ($82,033.68) and TMP-3744
Payment Estimate No. 5 and Final in the amount of
$161,149.12 for the Forest Park Phase II Water Main
Improvements Project to Austin Tyler Construction Inc.
Tony Anczer discussed Change Order No. 1 for the Forest Park Phase II Water
Main Improvements Project, in the amount of ($82,033.68), from Austin Tyler
Construction Inc. and the final payment in the amount of $161,149.12.
Change Order No. 1 in the amount of ($131,020.99) and TMP-3748
Payment Request No. 4 and Final in the amount of
$67,597.82 to P.T. Ferro Construction Co. for Mason Avenue
/ Salem Drive Roadway Improvement Project - 2020 - MFT
Sect. No. 20-00526-00-FP
Greg Ruddy discussed Change Order No. 1 to the Mason Avenue / Salem Drive
Roadway Improvement Project - 2020, in the amount of ($131,020.99), on
behalf of P.T. Ferro Construction Co. Also discussed was Payment Request
No. 4 and final in the amount of $67,597.82.
A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman
Terry Morris, to recommend for approval Change Orders/Pay Estimates/Final
Payments Item No's TMP-3742, TMP-3744, and TMP-3748.
The motion carried by the following vote:
