APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman Terry Morris,
to approve the Minutes of the May 16, 2022 Public Service Committee Meeting.
The motion carried by the following vote:

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS
Rachel Resk, owner of 310 Dewey, spoke regarding her main sewer line that has collapsed.
Owen Dean, Civil Engineer I, stated that there was a similar sewer issue at one of the
neighbors. She is requesting the 50/50 Program to repair this sewer line. Owen will put the
Agreement together to have this done.
A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman Terry Morris,
to approve a 50/50 Agreement with the owner of 310 Dewey to have this sewer repaired.

Mike Todorovic, Deputy Director of Public Works, discussed the purchase of
GPS Equipment, in the amount of $31,078.46, from Kara Company.
Award of Contract for the 2022 Sidewalk / Curb Replacement TMP-3840
Project - Far West Area to Davis Concrete Construction Co.
in the amount of $347,994.00
Greg Ruddy, Director of Public Works, discussed the 2022 Sidewalk / Curb

Anthony Anczer, Deputy Director - Engineering, discussed the purchase of an
AMI base station for the Laraway Road water tower, in the amount of
$50,000.00, on behalf of Core & Main LP.
Purchase Water Metering Equipment from Core & Main LP in TMP-3843
the amount of $230,565.00
Anthony Anczer discussed the purchase of water metering equipment, in the
amount of $230,565.00, on behalf of Core & Main LP.
Award of Price Agreements for the 2022 Street Maintenance TMP-3859
Materials Contracts:
a) City of Joliet Aggregate Price Agreement Contract
b) City of Joliet Bituminous Materials Contract
Mike Todorovic and Greg Ruddy discussed the Aggregate and Bituminous
Materials Contracts for 2022.
A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman
Terry Morris, to recommend for approval TMP-3839, TMP-3840,
TMP-3842,TMP-3843, and TMP-3859.

Mike Todorovic discussed Change Order No. 1 for the 2021 Roadways

$392,575.14, on behalf of P.T. Ferro Construction Co. Also discussed was
Payment Request No. 5 in the amount of $250,892.70.
Change Order No. 3 for the 2019 - 2020 Large Meter TMP-3846
Replacement Program to Calumet City Plumbing & Heating
Co Inc. in the amount of $80,757.00
Anthony Anczer discussed Change Order No. 3, a net addition in the amount of

Parkhill Subdiv Retention Pond ID-778-20
Councilwoman Gavin discussed a complaint from a resident that this pond is not
being maintained and would like someone to reach out to him.
Parkwood Avenue ID-779-20
Councilwoman Gavin said there was a complaint from a resident that their
backyard floods. It started happening after the path was redone in Pilcher Park
by the Joliet Park District. Councilwoman Gavin reached out to the Park District.
Report on Hydrant Repairs, Valves, Utilities Contracted ID-775-20
Services, and Water Main Breaks
