APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman Larry E. Hug, to approve the minutes of the June 20, 2022 Public Service Meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug and Councilwoman Gavin Abstain: Councilman Morris June 20, 2022 Public Service Minutes ID-811-20 Attachments: June 20, 2022 Public Service Meeting Minutes CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None at this time CONTRACTS Award of Contract for the 2022 Sidewalk / Curb Replacement TMP-4013 Project - East Area to Austin-Tyler Construction, Inc. in the amount of $347,350.05 Mike Todorovic discussed the award of 2022 Sidewalk / Curb Replacement Project - East Area. Award of Contract for the 2022 Hickory-Spring Creek TMP-4014 Cleaning Project to Gregg W. Dobczyk Excavating in the amount of $88,000.00 Greg Ruddy, Director of Public Works, discussed the award of Contract for the 2022 Hickory-Spring Creek Cleaning project. A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman Terry Morris, to recommend for approval by the full Council Contract Item No's TMP-4013 and TMP-4014. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilwoman Gavin and Councilman Morris Page 1 of 3 Public Service Committee Meeting Minutes - Final July 5, 2022 CHANGE ORDERS/PAY ESTIMATES/FINAL PAYMENTS Change Order No. 1 for the 2022 Municipal Parking Lot TMP-4015 Improvements (7196 Caton Farm Road / 1 South Des Plaines Street) to P.T. Ferro Construction Co. in the amount of $12,334.03 and Payment No. 2 and Final in the amount of $63,388.53 Mike Todorovic discussed Change Order No. 1 for the 2022 Municipal Parking Lot improvements. A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman Terry Morris, to recommend for approval to full Council for Change Orders/Pay Estimates/Final Payments Item No. TMP-4015. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilwoman Gavin and Councilman Morris ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS Resolution Approving a Memorandum of Understanding TMP-4016 between Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau and City of Joliet for Two Route 66 Shield Interactive Monuments Attachments: Resolution Approving an MOU - Route 66 Monuments MOU RT 66 Monuments RT66 Grant FY22 Jayne Bernhard, Community Development, discussed this Resolution regarding the two Route 66 Shield Interactive Monuments. A motion was made by Councilwoman Bettye Gavin, seconded by Councilman Terry Morris, to recommend for approval by the Full Council Ordinances and Resolutions Item No. TMP-4016. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilwoman Gavin and Councilman Morris NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION Report on Hydrant Repairs, Valves, Utilities Contracted ID-810-20 Services, and Water Main Breaks Attachments: Valve Hydrant Break Report 6-27-2022 (003) Allison Swisher, Director of Public Utilities, discussed this report.
