APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron, to approve the April 1, 2024 Public Service Minutes. No. 24-00562-00-FP to PT Ferro Construction Co. in the amount of $358,405.93 Sean Mikos, Deputy Director Engineering, discussed the award of Contract for the Bridge Street (Nicholson Street - Center Street) Roadway Improvement Project - 2024 MFT Sect. No. 24-00562-00-FP, in the amount of $358,405.93, to PT Ferro Construction Co. Award of Contract for the 2024 On-Call Excavation and ID-1659-20 Underground Utility Repair Program in the amount of $400,000.00 Allison Swisher, Director of Public Utilities, discussed the Award of Contract for the 2024 On-Call Excavation and Underground Utility Repair Program, in an amount not to exceed $400,000.00. Award of Contract for the 2024 Utilities Restoration Program ID-1660-20 in the amount of $600,000.00 Allison Swisher discussed the Award of Contract for the 2024 Utilities Restoration Program in the amount of $600,000.00. A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, to recommend ID-1658-20, 1659-20, and 1660-20 for approval by full Council. Change Order No. 4 for the Plainfield Road (Black - Center) ID-1662-20 Water Main Improvement Project to Trine Construction Corp in the amount of $68,471.17 Allison Swisher discussed Change Order No. 4 for the Plainfield Road (Black - Center) Water Main Improvement Project, in the amount of $68,471.17, to Trine Construction Corp. Change Order No. 1 for the Sidewalk Vault Improvements - ID-1663-20 102 N. Chicago Street, 175 N. Chicago Street, 2 Clinton Street to Lindblad Construction in the amount of $297,613.40 Sean Mikos discussed Change Order No. 1 for the Sidewalk Vault Improvements - 102 N. Chicago Street, 175 N. Chicago Street, 2 Clinton Street, in the amount of $297,613.40, to Lindblad Construction. A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, to recommend ID-1664-20, and 1665-20 for approval by full Council. Des Plaines Street: ID-1664-20 Resolution Declaring 663 S. Des Plaines Street as Surplus Property Resolution Approving the Sale of 663 S. Des Plaines Street (PIN 30-07-16-433-031-0000) to the Illinois Department of Transportation Attachments: Resolution 663 S. Des Plaines Sale - IDOT Resolution.pdf Greg Ruddy, Director of Public Works spoke of the Resolutions Associated with 663 S. Des Plaines Street: Resolution Declaring 663 S. No. 24-00562-00-FP. A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, to recommend ID-1664-20, and 1665-20 for approval by full Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilman Mudron and Guerrero NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION Greg Ruddy inquired about the resolution approving a memorandum of understanding for the EV chargers. This is moved to the 5/6/24 Public Service Meeting and then to Council on 5/7/24. PUBLIC COMMENT Owen Dean - Public Utilities Engineer, present for the City of Joliet along with the owner of 1501 Dickens St and they discussed a sanitary sewer issue at the property. The committee made a motion to recommend this to Legal for review. Owen will reach out to Inspections regarding the permits. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Councilman Cesar Guerrero, seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron, to adjourn.
