Hug, Councilman Pat Mudron and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon ALSO PRESENT: Greg Ruddy - Director of Public Works, and Allison Swisher - Director of Public Utilities APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Larry E. Hug, to approve the 06/30/2025 Public Service Minutes. CONTRACTS Approval of Purchase of One (1) HazMat Specific Truck 398-25 Assembly from Marshall Chevrolet for the Fire Department Haz-Mat Team in an Amount not to Exceed $86,000.00 Attachments: Approver Report Greg Ruddy, Public Works Director, discussed the purchase of one HazMat Specific Truck Assembly, in the amount of $86,000.00, from Marshall Chevrolet. A motion was made by Councilman Pat Mudron, seconded by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, to recommend 398-25 for approval by full Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon CHANGE ORDERS/PAY ESTIMATES/FINAL PAYMENTS Approval of Change Order No. 1 for the 2024 Lift Station 399-25 Replacement Program - Benton Lift Station and Greenfield Lift Station on behalf of Airy’s Construction Inc. for a Deduction in the Amount of ($9,884.33) and Payment No. 5 and Final in the Amount of $161,877.02 Attachments: Approver Report Page 1 of 3 Public Service Committee Meeting Minutes - Final July 14, 2025 Allison Swisher discussed Change Order No. 1 for the 2024 Lift Station Replacement Program - Benton Lift Station and Greenfield Lift Station, in the amount of ($9,884.33). Also discussed was Payment No. 5. Approval of Change Order No. 1 for the Dekalb Street / Dora 401-25 Avenue Roadway Project - MFT Section No. 22-00549-00-FP to of Austin Tyler Construction Inc., for a Deduction in the Amount of ($24,552.88) and Payment Estimate No. 5 and Final in the Amount of $19,785.61 Attachments: Approver Report Greg Ruddy discussed Change Order No. 1 for the Dekalb Street / Dora Avenue Roadway Project, in the amount of ($24,552.88) from Austin Tyler Construction Inc. Also discussed was Payment Estimate No. 5 and Final. A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron, to recommend 399-25, and 401-25 for approval by full Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement with 411-25 the Illinois Department of Transportation for the I-80 at Center Street Interchange Improvement Project - IDOT Contract No. 62R22 / JN-125-033 Attachments: Resolution JN125-033 62R22 City of Joliet IGA_I-80 at Center St 07012025.pdf Approver Report Greg Ruddy discussed the Intergovernmental Agreement with IDOT for the I-80 at Center Street Interchange. This is part of the reconstruction of the interchange. Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement with 412-25 the Illinois Department of Transportation for the I-80 at Center Street Interchange Improvement Project - IDOT Contract No.62R22 / JN-125-035 Attachments: Resolution Contract 62R22 JN-125-035 Combined PDF.pdf Approver Report Allison Swisher discussed the Intergovernmental Agreement with IDOT for the I-80 at Center Street Interchange. This is for relocation of water and sewer work. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon LICENSES AND PERMIT APPLICATIONS Approval of an Application for a Drive Thru Permit for a Jack 405-25 in the Box Restaurant at 2307 Jefferson Street Attachments: 2307 Jefferson Drive Thru Permit Application.docx 2307 Jefferson Drive Thru Permit Request Letter.pdf 2307 Jefferson Drive Thru Permit Exhibit.pdf Approver Report Greg Ruddy discussed the Drive Thru Permit request for the location of 2307 Jefferson Street. A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Pat Mudron, to recommend 405-25 for approval by full Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilman Hug, Councilman Mudron and Councilwoman Reardon NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION Pat Mudron discussed Republic Avenue pavement marking painting.
