ROLL CALL Present Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, Councilman Joe Clement and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon ALSO PRESENT: Chris Regis - Deputy Corporation Counsel and Heather Mills - Chief Financial Officer/General Manager Joliet Slammers. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approval of Minutes: TMP-5838 Stadium Committee Minutes - March 31, 2022 Stadium Committee Minutes - July 14, 2022 Attachments: Stadium Committee Minutes - March 31, 2022.pdf Stadium Committee Minutes - July 14, 2022.pdf A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Joe Clement, to approve the Minutes of the Stadium Committee for March 31, 2022 and July 14, 2022. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Ibarra, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None. 2022 SLAMMERS SEASON REVIEW - Heather Mills, Joliet Slammers Heather Mills, Chief Financial Officer/General Manager gave an update on 2022 food and beverage challenges, staff shortages and the Frontier League end of season meeting hosted in Joliet. 2023 SLAMMERS SEASON UPDATE - Heather Mills, Joliet Slammers Ms. Mills gave a brief update on hiring of a new food and beverage director, new food items, promotion nights, internships, and shipping Joliet Slammer's merchandise out of state. A brief discussion was held regarding Slammers events and number of teams in the Frontier League. 2023 NON-SLAMMERS EVENTS UPDATE - Heather Mills, Joliet Slammers Ms. Mills gave a brief update on 2023 non-Slammer events including soccer dates, youth baseball tournaments, University of St. Francis games, IHSA State Baseball Tournament, corporate events suites, picnics, kickball, whiffle ball, and focus on the Hall of Fame room Page 1 of 2 Stadium Committee Meeting Minutes - Final May 17, 2023 utilization during the year when there are no baseball games. A brief discussion was held regarding non-slammer events. FACILITY MAINTENANCE UPDATE - Brent Fraser, Facilities and Assets Maintenance Manager - City of Joliet Brent Fraser, Facilities and Assets Maintenance Manager, briefly discussed the rehabilitation of the concourse area, converted lighting to LED lights, pitch clocks, renovation of bathrooms behind home plate, 1st and 3rd baseline tile excavation and sod installation, cooling equipment renovation in concessions, loading dock clean-up, fire suppression system, 2023 rejected budget request and approved 2023 capital budget items. A brief discussion was held regarding deteriorated plywood behind the scoreboard area, special needs bathroom equipment, committee meeting in September for budget discussion . PUBLIC COMMENT None.
