ROLL CALL Present Councilwoman Suzanna Ibarra, Councilman Joe Clement and Councilwoman Sherri Reardon ALSO PRESENT: Heather Mills - General Manager Joliet Slammers, Brent Fraser - Chief Operating Engineer and Assets Manager, Craig Smith - City of Joliet, Nick Ferrero - Miracle League. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approval of Minutes: TMP-6428 Stadium Committee Minutes - May 17, 2023 Attachments: Stadium Committee Minutes - May 17, 2023.pdf A motion was made by Councilwoman Sherri Reardon, seconded by Councilman Joe Clement, to approve the minutes of the May 17, 2023 Stadium Committee meeting. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Councilwoman Ibarra, Councilman Clement and Councilwoman Reardon CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS None AGENDA ITEM Slammers Stadium Maintenance Needs: TMP-6427 • Paint Steel Structure • Replace Fire Suppression System • Update Video Board Computer System • Update Original Sound System • Insulate Stadium Brent Fraser, Chief Operating Engineer and Assets Manager, gave a brief overview of the upgrades / maintenance of the stadium in 2023. He briefly discussed the five year maintenance and capital improvements plan. Heather Mills, General Manager of the Joliet Slammers gave a brief overview of the 2023 season. A brief discussion was held regarding the upgrades / maintenance overview as well as future capital requests. Page 1 of 2 Stadium Committee Meeting Minutes - Final September 26, 2023 Mr. Fraser will prioritize the maintenance requests as well as the costs for each item so further discussion can be held during the budget. Nick Ferro, representative of the Miracle League introduced himself to the new committee members. PUBLIC COMMENT None. NEW OR OLD BUSINESS, NOT FOR FINAL ACTION OR RECOMMENDATION CLOSED SESSION ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Councilman Clement, seconded by Councilwoman Reardon, to adjourn.
