Arborist Report Joe Nordman, Roadways Engineer is present on behalf of the Arborist to answer any questions. He says that the warranty is coming up for the trees that were planted last year and that Jim Teiber is about half way done with flagging the trees that need to be replanted . He said that the planting of the trees is done for the spring and it will resume in the fall . Arbor Day Activities 2023 - Review Rita Renwick reviewed the Arbor Day Event held at Union School. Rita said the Slammers event and the Blue Stem event were a success. In summary, all these events extended the Arbor Day celebrations a month. Tree Inventory Status Joe Nordman demonstrated the GIS system that the Roadways Division uses to the Committee. Rita Renwick asked about the request for quotes on the tree inventory. Joe Nordman said that they will be requesting a bid for qualifications and a panel will review, select and award the contract along with the Arborist, Jim Teiber. Educational Events Committee Update: Satcher, Schoeheider, Testin The Committee did not meet. It was discussed to have an event to show residents on how to trim trees properly. Further meeting dates and times are tentative at this time. Social Media Messaging Rita said that there was an Arbor Day press release. A new posting from the Arbor Day Foundation will be reviewed.
