The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Hennessy, Alessio, Nachtrieb, Riggs and Roehr CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding agenda items and are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff, and the Zoning Board of Appeals members do not generally respond to public comments. The City Clerk has a copy of the public speaking procedures; please note, speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the meeting shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak. PETITION 2023-45: A Variation to reduce the required rear TMP-6265 yard setback on a through lot from 30 ft. to 25 ft. for a property, located at 4 S. Cagwin Avenue. Attachments: ZBA 2023-45 (4 S. Chairman Hennessy asked if any one else would like to speak about this petition. No one came forward. A motion was made by Jim Riggs, seconded by Bob Nachtrieb, to approve PETITION 2023-45: A Variation to reduce the required rear yard setback on a through lot from 30 ft. to 25 ft. for a property, located at 4 S. Cagwin Avenue. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Hennessy, Alessio, Nachtrieb, Riggs and Roehr PETITION 2023-46: A series of Variations to allow TMP-6243 construction of a covered front porch on an existing home, located at 637 Central Avenue. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Hennessy, Alessio, Nachtrieb, Riggs and Roehr PETITION 2023-47: A Variation to increase the maximum TMP-6266 allowable size for an on-premise wall sign from 200 sq. ft. to 300 sq. ft. for a building, located at 1529 N. Larkin Avenue, Joliet, IL. Ms. Frey appeared in support of this petition. Ms. Frey provided some information regarding the updates and changes to the SOWIC facility. Chairman Hennessy asked if any one else would like to speak about this petition. No one came forward. A motion was made by Brigette Roehr, seconded by Bob Nachtrieb, to approve PETITION 2023-48: An amendment to a Special Use Permit (Ordinance #11978) to allow enrollment of up to 160 students in preschool through eighth grade for an existing public day school, located at 1205 N. Larkin Avenue. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Hennessy, Alessio, Nachtrieb, Riggs and Roehr PETITION 2023-49: A Special Use Permit to allow an TMP-6245 automotive service and repair facility, located at 217 E. Clinton Street. PETITION 2023-55: A Variation to allow an automotive service and repair facility within 100 feet of the building or grounds of institutional uses (church and school), located at 217 E. Clinton Street, Joliet, IL. and Mr. ___, 709 N. Center Street, Joliet, IL. Mr. Policandriotes is the owner of the building and appeared in support of this petition. Mr. Nachtrieb asked if the Mr. Policandriotes knew the residential property owners nearby the shop, Mr. Policandriotes does know the owners but not the current tenants. Mr. Riggs asked if the repair shop will be closed on Sundays, Mr. Policandriotes said yes they will be closed. Chairman Hennessy asked if any one else would like to speak about this petition. No one came forward. A motion was made by Bob Nachtrieb, seconded by Vincent Alessio, to approve PETITION 2023-49: A Special Use Permit to allow an automotive service and repair facility, located at 217 E. Clinton Street and PETITION 2023-55: A Variation to allow an automotive service and repair facility within 100 feet of the building or grounds of institutional uses (church and school), located at 217 E. Clinton Street. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: Hennessy, Alessio, Nachtrieb, Riggs and Roehr PETITION 2023-50: A Special Use Permit for an indoor TMP-6267 storage facility, located at 4200 W. Jefferson Street. PETITION 2023-51: A Special Use Permit for truck hire & sales, located at 4200 W. Jefferson Street. PETITION 2023-52: A Variation to allow two main buildings on one lot, located at 4200 W. Jefferson Street. PETITION 2023-53: A Variation to increase the total permitted sign height from 25 ft. to 39.56 ft., located at 4200 W. Jefferson Street. PETITION 2023-54: A Variation to increase the total amount of allowable wall signage from 784 sq. ft. to 801 sq. ft., located at 4200 W. Jefferson Street. Attachments: ZBA 2023-50-504 (4200 W.
