JUNEAU PUBLIC LIBRARIES ENDOWMENT BOARD Meeting Minutes for Monday January 9, 2018 Location: Small Meeting Room, Downtown Library Time: 11:07 AM Board members present: Donna Pierce, Public Member; Barbara Berg, Friends of the Library Member; Robert Barr, Library Director Staff members present: Robert Barr, Library Director Board Members absent: None Public present: None The meeting was called to order at 11:07 a.m. by Robert Barr in the Small Meeting Room, Juneau Public Library. AGENDA CHANGES: None APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes edited to reflect that Barbara is the Friends of the Library member and Donna is the Public member. D. Pierce noted two items of follow up from the last meeting for next year: Finance inquiry re: funding allocations & risk as well as investigating an acoustical evaluation of the downtown and Valley locations. Minutes of the December 11th, 2017 meeting were approved with the above edit. (B. Berg moved) CORRESPONDENCE/COMMUNICATIONS: No correspondence to report. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Discussion on the need to add to the amount moved from interest to principle in Res 17- 01 due to accounting error, total amount necessary per Finance is $83,906.33, which is the total of the amounts in 17-01 and 18-01. ACTION ITEMS: Donna moved to adopt resolution FY18-01. Barbara seconded. Motion passed. MEMBER REPORT/COMMENTS: PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: None. NEXT MEETING:  At the call of the chair.
