Parks-Shaw 210600 Accepting and approving a grant award agreement in the amount of $2,847,052.00 with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health to provide funding for Advancing Health Literacy to Enhance Equitable Community Responses to COVID-19; estimating and appropriating $2,134,856.67 in the Health Grants Fund; designating requisitioning authority; and authorizing an accelerated effective date. SECOND READINGS: Transportation, Infrastructure and Operations Committee Lucas 210581 Directing the City Manager to review Kansas City’s current policies related to inspection of building structures owned or leased by the City, engaging with stakeholders who can provide recommendations on appropriate safety protocols to ensure the structures are safe for occupancy on a regular basis and report back to the City Council within 90 days. Fowler and Loar 210606 Authorizing a Lease Agreement with US Federal Properties Co., LLC for the construction, leasing, operation, maintenance and repair of a general office and associated improvements for the use and benefit of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) at the Kansas City International Airport. 210607 Authorizing the Director of General Services to execute a contract amendment with Metropolitan Energy Center, Inc., to accept and approve $88,609.20 in additional grant funds from the U.S. Department of Energy through Metropolitan Energy Center, Inc., to implement alternative fuel adoptions; estimating revenue in the amount of $88,609.20 into the Fleet Services Fund; and authoring contract amendments. 210609 Authorizing a second amendment to the Cooling Service and City Equipment Lease Agreement with Vicinity Energy (formerly Trigen) to provide 2,400-tons of cooling from Vicinity Energy’s integrated West Loop Chilled Water System for the Convention and Entertainment Facilities Department. Lucas 210626 Directing the City Manager to review all salary classifications that establish pay ranges for Kansas City employees to ensure employees are compensated fairly for the work performed for each job classification and directing the City Manager to report to Council within 60 days. Neighborhood Planning and Development Committee 210615 Accepting and approving a $50,000.00 grant from AIDS United to collaborate on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Capacity Building Assistance program for non-clinical HIV testing and prevention in the metropolitan Kansas City area; and designating requisitioning authority. 210622 Rezoning an area of about 0.04 acres located at the northwest corner of Forest Avenue and Pacific Street from District R-1.5 to District DR-1 to allow for an existing three-story building to be rehabbed to accommodate six residential units and one commercial unit on the ground floor.
