Matthew Barnes, City Planning and Development presented. This ordinance
approves a request to approve a final plat in district UR on a about 0.7 acres
generally located on the corner of Pacific Street and Troost Avenue it will also
create 12 lots and 1 tract.

Accepting and approving a one year $83,850.00 contract with the Missouri
Department of Health and Senior Services to conduct Perinatal Hepatitis B case
management and surveillance activities in Kansas City, Missouri.
Keisha Jones, Health Department, presented. This ordinance approves
a one year $83,850.00 contract with the Missouri Department of Health and
Senior Services to conduct Perinatal Hepatitis B case management and
surveillance activities in Kansas City, Missouri for identification of pregnant
women who are infected with Hepatitis B to provide immunization to the
newborn, for household and sexual contacts to prevent Hepatitis B infection.
The program routinely maintains 10-20 pregnancies through surveillance
efforts and follows an additional 35-50 newborns to ensure appropriate
vaccine compliance.

Accepting and approving a $160,000.00 grant from the Missouri Department of
Health and Senior Services to provide funding to assist in the Kansas City,
Missouri Health Department’s Monkeypox response in Kansas City, Missouri;
estimating and appropriating $160,000.00 in the Health Grants Fund; and
designating requisitioning authority.

Keisha Jones, Health Department, presented. This ordinance approves a
grant for $160,000.00 from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior
Services to provide for comprehensive Monkey Pox stabilization and
elimination program utilizing core public health functions of assessment,
assurance, and policy development. This contract will also assist the
department in working toward the Monkey Pox Infection National Strategic
Plan outlined by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Accepting and approving a $20,200.00 grant award from the Missouri Department
of Health and Senior Services to provide funding for the Summer Food Services
Program for Children; and designating requisitioning authority.
Stacy Guzman, Health Department presented. This ordinance approves
accepting a $20,200.00 grant award from the Missouri Department of Health
and Senior Services to provide funding for the Summer Food Services
Program for children. The state contracts with the Health Department to
conduct inspections of these facilities to assure that the children are provided
food prepared in facilities that meet safety and sanitation standards.
