This ordinance is to authorize the director of Health to execute a 5 year sole source contract with the University of Missouri Kansas City for Violence Prevention Fund Evaluation Services from previously appropriated funds. Pending contract review and UMKC representative at the next meeting to discuss contract details. Item was held in committee until 9.27.2023 Hold on Agenda Sponsor: Director of the Health Department Authorizing the Director of Health to execute a contract with KC Common Good for Page 1 of 4 Neighborhood Planning and Meeting Minutes September 13, 2023 Development Committee Supporting Families through Summer Opportunities for Youth from previously appropriated funds; and authorizing the Director of Health to amend and extend the contract. Kevin Humphries, Health Department, and Darren Faulkner with KC Common Good, presented on this ordinance. This ordinance is to authorize the Director of Health to execute a contract with KC Common Good to support families through providing summer programs for youth ages 14-18 to decrease violence during summer months. From previously appropriated funds and authorizing the Director of Health to amend and extend the contract. A motion was made that this Ordinance be Adv and Do Pass to the Council, due back on 9/14/2023. The motion carried by the following vote: Sponsor: Director of the Health Department Authorizing the Director of Health to execute a contract with Community Capital Fund for Strengthening the Health of Neighborhoods from previously appropriated funds; and authorizing the Director of Health to amend and extend the contract . Kevin Humphries, Office of Violence Prevention, Health Department, presented on this ordinance. This ordinance is to authorize the Director of Health to execute a contract with Community Capital Fund to assist 33 of Kansas City’s most vulnerable neighborhoods by implementing strategies that will engage resident involvement to create a supportive, safe and collaborative neighborhood environment from previously appropriated funds and authorizing the Director of Health to amend and extend the contract. A motion was made that this Ordinance be Adv and Do Pass to the Council, due back on 9/14/2023. The motion carried by the following vote: Sponsor: Director of City Planning and Development Department Approving a development plan which also serves as a preliminary plat, on about 38 acres to allow for 192,000 square foot data center in two phases on one lot, in District M3-5 (Manufacturing) generally located at the northwest corner of Missouri Highway 210 and N. Arlington Avenue. (CD-CPC-2023-00016) Olofu Agbaji, City Planning and Development, presented on this ordinance. This ordinance is to approve a development plan which also serves as a preliminary plat to allow for 192,000 square foot data center on one lot, in District M3-5 (Manufacturing) generally located in the NW corner of Missouri Highway 210 and N Arlington Avenue. The motion carried by the following vote: Sponsor: Director of City Planning and Development Department Rezoning an area of about one acre generally located on the west side of Oak Street between Linwood Boulevard and 31st Street from District R-1.5 to District UR and approving a development plan to allow for twelve (12) detached dwellings.
