Tourist Development Fund; approving a contract in up to the same amount with the Greater
Kansas City Sports Commission for the purpose of promoting neighborhoods and tourism
in connection with a 2023 Chiefs Post Season Championship Celebration; and recognizing
this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

Belmont Avenue” from the list of bicycle facilities to be implemented as part of the
one-year work plan; and directing the City Manager to remove bike lanes from Truman
Road within sixty days.

Authorizing a $4,583,900.00 design-build contract with Radmacher Brothers Excavating
Co., Inc., for the Blue River Screen House Improvements project; and authorizing a
maximum expenditure of $5,000,000.00.

Jeff Martin, Water Services, testified that this ordinance will authorize the Director
of Water Services to execute a design build contract with Radmacher Brothers
Excavating Co, Inc for the Blue River Screen House Improvements project. The
waste water arriving at the treatment plant contains trash and debris and must be
removed to prevent reaching local rivers and/or land applied biosolids. This project
includes the design, construction, and modification of the existing Blue River
Screen House at 7300 Hawthorne Road. The modifications are for replacement of
existing screening, channel flow seperation, grit equalization, replacement of slide
gates, HVAC and electrical improvements. An electronic copy of this presentation
can be obtained from the City Clerks Office.
