Kansas City International Airport from the United States of America, acting through
the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); and recognizing this ordinance as
having an accelerated effective date.
Jade Liska, Aviation presented on this ordinance. This ordinance allows for the
acceptance of a $85,515.00 from the Federal Stimulus Grants account; by accepting
the Grant Offer for Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Airport Infrastructure Grant
(AIG) Project No. 3-29-0040-094-2023 at Kansas City International Airport from the
United States through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The purpose of the
grant to provide funds for airport development or noise program implementation.
A motion was made that this Ordinance be Adv and Do Pass, Consent to the
Council, due back on 9/14/2023. The motion carried by the following vote:

account; authorizing acceptance of the Grant Offer for Bipartisan Infrastructure
Law (BIL) Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) Project No. 3-29-0041-035-2023 at the
Charles B Wheeler Downtown Airport from the United States of America, acting
through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); and recognizing this ordinance
as having an accelerated effective date.
Jade Liska, Aviation Department, presented on this ordinance. This ordinance will be
authorizing acceptance of the Grant Offer for Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL)
Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) Project at the Downtown Airport from the United
States through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Aviation Department
submitted to the FAA a project application on August 2, 2023, for a grant of federal
funds for the project. The purpose of the grant is to provide funds for airport
development or noise program implementation by extending taxiway L to Runway 3.
A motion was made that this Ordinance be Adv and Do Pass to the Council, due
back on 9/14/2023. The motion carried by the following vote:

account; authorizing acceptance of an anticipated Airport Improvement Program
(AIP) Grant Offer at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport from the United
States of America, acting through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); and
recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
Jade Liska, Aviation, Department presented on this ordinance. The Aviation
Department submitted the project application on August 2, of this year for grant funds
at the Downtown Airport in anticipation of $107,167.00. The grant must be accepted
and executed by the City no later than September 17, 2023. This ordinance is to
provide funds for the airport development or noise program implementation. The
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approve the project which will extend
Taxiway L to Runway 3.
A motion was made that this Ordinance be Adv and Do Pass to the Council, due
back on 9/14/2023. The motion carried by the following vote:

Authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and enter into all necessary agreements
consistent with this ordinance, including but not limited to a pre-development
agreement, development agreement, lease, and any other necessary agreements,
with 816 Solar Consortium for development of a solar array on property at the
Kansas City International Airport; provide a 180-day period for negotiations; and
recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
