RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to work in collaboration with the Kansas City
Area Transportation Authority (“KCATA”) and the Mid-America Regional Council
(“MARC”) to determine best practices for regional transit; and directing the City Manager
to determine the costs of implementing an updated regional transit plan that meets the
current needs and to report back to Council within 30 days.

Councilmember Patterson Hazley testified on this Resolution. This Resolution directs the
City Manager to work in collaboration with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority
(“KCATA”) and the Mid-America Regional Council (“MARC”) to determine best practices
for regional transit funding plan. This resolution includes direction for the City Manager to
determine the costs of implementing an updated that meets the City’s current needs and to
report back to the Council within 30 days.

for the 2nd and Grand Track Improvements for the Streetcar Transit System.

Jason Waldron, Public Works, presented. This ordinance appropriates $11,500,000.00 from
the Un appropriated Fund Balance of the Streetcar Fund for the 2nd and Grand Track
Improvements for the Streetcar Transit System. The Streetcar fund has an unreserved fund
balance of $15,597,460.76 as of June 3, 2024.

package related to the reconstruction of Barney Allis Plaza from funds previously

in the amount of $599,000.00 for construction management support from funds previously
appropriated; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
