Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute $3,957,847.77 construction contract
with Sarai Construction, Inc. for sidewalk repairs; authorizing the Director of Public Works
to enter into contract changes up to twenty percent (20%); recognizing the Civil Rights and
Equal Opportunity Department goals; and recognizing this ordinance as having an
accelerated effective date.
Jason Waldron and Daisy Dixson, from the Public Works, presented. This ordinance authorizes the
Director of Public Works to enter into a construction contract with Sarai Construction for sidewalk
repairs, was thoroughly discussed. Additionally, they made a point of acknowledging the Civil
Rights and Equal Opportunity Department's specific targets for 15% participation from Minority
Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE). A copy of the presentation
is available in the office of the City Clerk for reference and review.

of Public Works to proceed with the execution of a construction contract with Sarai Construction.
The contract pertains to the design, repair, maintenance, or construction of public improvements,
all of which are geared towards enhancing walk ability and ensuring the safety of pedestrians.
Additionally, a copy of the presentation related to this initiative has been made available and is on
file with the office of the City Clerk for review.

repairs. The goal of this ordinance is to improve walk ability and safety for pedestrians. The

grants the Director of Public Works the authority to enter into a cooperative, non-exclusive
agreement with Bird Rides, allowing them to operate until December 31, 2026. The purpose of this
ordinance is to help with managing clutter control, organizing large events, and detecting
double-riding technology. It also involves investing in infrastructure by allocating $0.10 per ride to

no-cost extension, and is designed to assist states and local governments in implementing strategies
to reduce energy use, cut carbon emissions, and improve energy efficiency. A copy of the

Additionally, the project includes upgrades to the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and alerting systems
