This ordinance authorizes the City Manager to enter into a one-year contract with Metropolitan Energy Center from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025. The purpose of this grant is to continue the implementation of the Benchmarking help desk element of MEC’s Energy Works KC program. The Department of Energy has agreed to repurpose previously granted funds for this project. The objective of this initiative is to promote sustainable housing, enhance resident well-being, and foster cultural diversity.
