5. Report by City of Las Vegas Finance Department staff regarding the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial
budget for Fiscal Year 2024
6. 24-0272-CLC1 - Discussion for possible action regarding approval of a grant request for $150,860 by the Board
of Regents, Nevada System of Higher Education on behalf of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for the costs
associated with staffing and materials related to an oral history project that will focus on the history of sports in
Las Vegas, and authorizing the President to execute the Grant Agreement as approved by the City Attorney -
All Wards
7. 24-0365-CLC1 - Final report by Las Vegas Apartments, LLC, regarding the completion of the restoration of the
Safari Motel sign, located at 2001 East Fremont Street, funded by the Commission for the Las Vegas
Centennial - Ward 3 (Diaz)
8. 24-0366-CLC1 - Final report by staff from Nevada Preservation Foundation regarding the 2024 Home + History
Event, funded by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial - All wards
9. 24-0367-CLC1 - Final report by staff from the City of Las Vegas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs
Department regarding the completion of the 2024 Helldorado Days Parade, funded by the Commission for the
Las Vegas Centennial - Ward 3 (Diaz)
10. 24-0321-CLC1 - Discussion for possible action regarding approval of a grant request for $294,250 by Slicktion
Culture Productions for the costs associated with the production of a historical documentary film highlighting the
history of famous African-American architect Paul Revere Williams and his work and achievements in Las
Vegas, and authorizing the President to execute the Grant Agreement as approved by the City Attorney - All
Wards

11. 24-0322-CLC1 - Discussion for possible action regarding approval of a grant request for $14,355.85 by Friends
of the Nevada State Museum for the costs associated with the curation of a museum exhibit titled The Old
Spanish Trail: Connecting a Network of Paths, and authorizing the President to execute the Grant Agreement
as approved by the City Attorney - Ward 1 (Knudsen)
12. 24-0325-CLC1 - Discussion for possible action regarding approval of a grant request for $558,983.60 by The
Neon Museum for the costs associated with the creation, implementation and running of the mobile learning
initiative Neon History on Wheels for three years, and authorizing the President to execute the Grant
Agreement as approved by the City Attorney - All Wards
13. 24-0368-CLC1 - Final report by the Executive Director of the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial
regarding the completion of the documentary film, The City of Las Vegas: The 1960s, funded by the
Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial
14. 24-0371-CLC1 - Discussion for possible action regarding approval of a request by staff for funding up to
$12,000 to host the premiere of the documentary film, The City of Las Vegas: The 1970s, at the Plaza Hotel &
Casino, located at 1 North Main Street - Ward 5 (Crear)
15. 24-0369-CLC1 - Report by the Community Development Department regarding the City of Las Vegas website
16. 24-0370-CLC1 - Report by the Community Development Department regarding language in the Commission for
the Las Vegas Centennial grant guidelines, eligibility and application for documentary films - All Wards
17. Report by the Executive Director of the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial regarding completed projects
and announcements relative to the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial
18. Discussion regarding topics for future agenda items. Comments made during this portion of the agenda by
individual members shall refer solely to proposals for future agenda items and any discussion shall be limited to
whether or not such proposed items are within the purview of the Commission and/or whether such proposed
items shall be placed on a future agenda. No discussion regarding the substance of any such proposed topic
shall occur and no action shall be taken.

jurisdiction of the Commission. No subject may be acted upon by the Commission unless that subject is on the
agenda and is scheduled for action. If you wish to be heard, come forward and give your name for the record.
