Discuss waiving landfill fees for City projects and take action as deemed necessary.
Initiator: Michael Watrous, Director
Information Source: Michael Watrous, Director
Background:
City contractors are not currently charged landfill fees for the disposal of waste generated
through municipal projects via wording in individual contracts; however, city code does not
explicitly waive these fees. This agenda item allows the Fee Committee to discuss the potential
waiver of these fees for City-led projects in an effort to ensure streamlined operations and codify
what is currently done in each individual contract.

Southwest region to ensure fees remain current and reflective of inflation and service delivery
costs. This item allows the committee to evaluate the proposed CPI-based fee updates and
provide a formal recommendation to the City Council for inclusion in the upcoming fiscal year
