Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Saturday, January 18, 2014, meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 9:45 a.m. in the Lombard Police Department, Chiefs Conference Room, 235 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman William Dunne Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski Guests: Police Chief Raymond Byrne Police Administrative Coordinator Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on December 20, 2013. Motion carried. D. Public Participation None. E. Payment of Bills The Board received Statement 167118 and 167119 from Klein, Thorpe Jenkins in the amount of $8,410.22 for legal fees rendered and expenses through November, 2013. Also, Statement 165417 ($954.17) and 165418 ($13,223.99) which were previous bills for legal fees rendered and expenses through July 2013. The Board received Invoice #1211 in the amount of $320.00 from Conrad Polygraph for polygraphs for entry level police candidates, DeMark and Iwaniuk. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, to approve payment of the above invoices, statements submitted. Motion carried. Correspondence The Board received a Letter of Appreciation from Chief Ray Byrne addressed Officer Terry Olson. Officer Olson was commended for his quick response to his area, his astute observation and his foot pursuit resulting in an apprehension to solve a residential burglary with an arrest and recovery of the stolen property. The Board signed the Certificate of Appointment for new entry level police officer Andrew Stern. J. Unfinished Business It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to decline employment for police entry-level candidate Nicholas Iwaniuk. Motion carried. K. New Business L. Other Business M. Executive Session N. Reconvene O.
