Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, April 22, 2016, meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 6:40 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 235 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, William Dunne Vice Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Guests: Chief of Police, Raymond Byrne Assistant Fire Chief, Jerry Howell Human Resources Administrator, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski, to approve the minutes from the Special Meeting on March 16, 2016 and the Special Meeting on March 29, 2016. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received invoice #1998 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $1,600.00 for fire and police candidate polygraphs and invoice number #SA000030972 from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $395.00 for the personality evaluation for police candidate Ryan Postal. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve payment of the bills. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. Vice Chairperson's Report H. Secretary's Report Village of Lombard Page 1 Board of Fire and Police Minutes - Final April 22, 2016 Commissioners I. Correspondence The Board received correspondence from Officer Joe Wagner giving notice of his retirement on 4/20/16; a memorandum from Village Manager Scott Niehaus regarding authorization to proceed with the hiring of one police officer; certificate of appointment for probationary police officer Ryan Postal; 8 letters of recognition from the fire department to various firefighter/paramedics for their fire and life safety classes they were involved in; Jeanne Broenneke and Marshon Conrad from Conrad & Associates resumes. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business Chief Ray Byrne asked the Board for special meetings dates for the future due to retirements at the police department. The Board agreed to hold a special meeting on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Our regular meeting will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. and our regular meeting on June 24, 2016 at 6:30 a.m. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to extend a conditional offer of employment to police candidate Daniel Herrera; Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to send denial letters of employment to police candidates De Koning, Vukasovic, Schiller, Kaishas and Marczyk.
