Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Tuesday, November 22, 2016 special meeting date of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 6:31 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, William Dunne Vice Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Secretary, Kenneth Florey Guests: Police Chief, Raymond Byrne Fire Chief, Rick Sander Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte Fire Administrative Coordinator, Pamm Cooper C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve the minutes from the Regular Meeting on August 24, 2016, and the Special Meeting on September 15, 2016. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received invoice #SA000032424 from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $1,580.00 for personality evaluations for 4 police candidates; invoice #2275 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $160.00 for a police candidate polygraph; invoice #184778 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins in the amount of $61.50 for research done on polygraph testing; invoice #004130740 from College of DuPage in the amount of $3,900.00 for fire fighter testing; and invoice #00024275 in the amount of $2,540.00 for medical testing for 4 police candidates. It was moved by Chairman William Dunne, seconded by Vice Chairman Thomas Rachubinski to approve payment of all bills. Motion carried. Correspondence The Board received a copy of a memorandum from Lt. Frank Gallione to a firefighter regarding a written reprimand; a copy of a memorandum from Police Chief Raymond Byrne to Ofc. Scott Jean and Ofc. Ryan Postal regarding a letter of appreciation; and Certificates of Appointment for probationary police officers Alexander Robles, Adam Bruce, Andrew Boccassini and Jeffrey Calhoun and Police Sergeants Michael Clark and Benny Ranallo. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business Fire Chief Rick Sander mentioned that 142 candidates passed the written firefighter exam. Oral interviews were set up for the 142 candidates and out of those candidates 60 did not show up for their interview. The Fire Chief asked the Board's permission to survey all candidates via telephone call who didn't show up and inquire if they received the letter and if they did in fact receive the letter with their interview day and time why they didn't show up.
