Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, November 30, 2018 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 7:45 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on September 28, 2018. Motion carried. D. Public Participation Village of Lombard Page 1 Board of Fire and Police Minutes - Final November 30, 2018 Commissioners E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice#SA000039061 from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $555.00 for the preparation and management of the on-line application process for the 2018 Lateral Transfer Police Officer Hiring Process; Invoice#SA000039264 from Stanard & Associates in the amount of $1,861.07 for oral interview preparation materials, scoring and reporting results; Invoice#3131 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $480.00 for polygraph examinations for 3 police candidates; and Invoice#2018-1059 from The Daily Dispatch for advertising for firefighter/paramedic employment. It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve payment of all bills. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. Vice Chairperson's Report H. Secretary's Report I. Correspondence The Board received a memorandum from Village Manager, Scott Niehaus authorizing the hiring of 1 firefighter and the promotion of 1 Fire Lieutenant; the Board received a memorandum from Village Manager, Scott Niehaus authorizing the hiring of 1 firefighter; a letter of retirement from Fire Lt. Brad Delatorre; and Notice of Suspension from Fire Chief Rick Sander to a firefighter/paramedic. J. Unfinished Business K. New Business It was moved by Secretary, Kyle Dolan seconded by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski to approve the 2018 Police Officer Lateral Entry List; it was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve the hiring of a firefighter/paramedic. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to adjourn to executive session at 7:52 a.m. Motion carried. N. Reconvene The regular meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 8:01 a.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to proceed with background investigations for firefighter/paramedic candidates Daniel Streich, Brian Kurth and Phil Sinetos. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to send a letter of denial of employment to firefighter/paramedic candidate Bradley Benson.
