Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, April 26, 2019 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Lombard Village Hall Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, IL 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Battalion Chief, Doug Cail Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on March 21, 2019. Motion carried. D. Public Participation Village of Lombard Page 1 Board of Fire and Police Minutes - Final April 26, 2019 Commissioners E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice#00094585-01 from Elmhurst Occupational Health in the amount of $935.00 for pre-employment medical testing for a firefighter candidate; Invoice#00094586-01 from Elmhurst Occupational Health in the amount of $2,520.00 for pre-employment medical testing for 4 police candidates and 1 firefighter candidate; Invoice#201660 from Klein, Thorpe and Jenkins for attorney attendance at Board of Fire and Police Commissioners meeting in the amount of $440.00; Invoice#SA000040501 from Standard & Associates for personality evaluations for 4 police candidates in the amount of $1,580.00; Invoice#SA000040502 from Standard & Associates for a personality evaluation for a firefighter candidate in the amount of $395.00; Invoice#3370 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount of $160.00 for a polygraph for a firefigther candidate. F. Chairperson's Report G. Vice Chairperson's Report H. Secretary's Report I. Correspondence J. Unfinished Business K. New Business Fire Chief Sander was approved to move forward with proposed updated changes to the current Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Rules and Regulations. L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to adjourn to executive session at 8:06 a.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 8:18 a.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Battalion Chief, Doug Cail Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Bartolotte It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to extend a final offer of employment to police candidate, Adilene Ruiz. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinsi, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to move forward with background investigations for 3 firefighter candidates. Motion carried It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to send a denial letter of employment to firefighter candidate, Salvatore Baldassano.
