Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance The Friday, January 24, 2020 meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Village of Lombard Board Room, 255 East Wilson Avenue, Lombard, Illinois 60148. B. Roll Call of Members Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship C. Approval of Minutes It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve the minutes from the Regular Meeting on December 20, 2019. Motion carried. D. Public Participation E. Payment of Bills The Board received Invoice#3761 from Conrad Polygraph in the amount $320.00 for 2 firefighter candidate polygraphs. It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Secretary, Kyle Dolan to approve payment of the bill. Motion carried. F. Chairperson's Report G. Correspondence The Board received a copy of a Letter of Appreciation memorandum from Chief Roy Newton addressed to Sgt. Kohl thanking him for being part of the NIPAS Mobil Field Force; a copy of a memorandum to Fire Chief Rick Sander from Lt. Mark Sepe regarding his intent to retire; and a memorandum from Village Manager, Scott Niehaus to Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski authorizing the hiring of 1 firefighter and authorizing the promotion of a firefighter to fire lieutenant. J. Unfinished Business The Board will review and make changes to the BOFPC Rules and Regulations at a later date. K. New Business L. Other Business M. Executive Session It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to adjourn to executive session at 8:11 a.m. Motion carried. Reconvene The meeting of the Lombard Board of Fire and Police Commissioners reconvened at 8:20 a.m. Present: Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey Secretary, Kyle Dolan Guests: Police Chief, Roy Newton Fire Chief, Rick Sander Deputy Fire Chief, Ray Kickert Human Resources Director, Kathleen Dunne Fire Administrative Coordinator, Sheila York Police Administrative Coordinator, Barbara Blankenship It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to extend a conditional offer of employment to firefighter/paramedic candidate Andrew Kasules. Motion carried. It was moved by Chairman, Thomas Rachubinski, seconded by Vice Chairman, Kenneth Florey to promote Police Officer Greg Sohr to Police Sergeant and Sgt. Mike Chudzinski to Police Lieutenant. Motion carried. O.
